you look good
How many of us had someone tell us we look good? Ok now how many of those “you look good” were really true? I was at that Maggie Timothy party and I had some one tell me I look good and it was the first time in a while I really felt like they meant it. The reason I say this is because if I tell someone they look good I do not just say they look good I will say they look good and then point out the thing that I think makes them look good. Like if someone had a cute outfit on I would say you look good I really like your outfit or that color on you is amazing and then maybe ask them more about it. I hope I do not come off sounding ungrateful or like a spoiled brat. I just wanted to see if I was the only one who thought that when you see someone you know but have not seen in some time and you say “you look good” is it really genuine or is it just something we automatically say? I know now everyone that reads this and I see them and I say “you look good” and nothing after that they will think did she really mean that? Lol

Emmit Things / Partys
9/8-9/10
So everyone tells me that Emmit will get better as he gets older. Well he is in some ways but in others he is not. Like for three nights he would not let me put him down and every time I would he would cry and scream because he was having tummy problems. I felt so bad for him. So last night when he stayed asleep for four hours I was in heaven. How great is that. I know if you have not had a baby you would think that only sleeping for four hours is crazy but to me it is like heaven. He usually sleeps for 2 and 1/2 hours gets up and then 2 1/2 hours again. So last night make me really hopeful. You know what the best things is, when I was almost ready to cry because Emmit would not sleep and was crying like someone was hurting him, he would stop for a little look at me and smile just when I really needed it. He knows me a lot more then I think or he just got done passing gas and his tummy feels better. :) I would like to think he knows me. Another great thing is he now is starting to lay on his back and be content and stay there for a good 10 minutes. Do you know how much you can get done in 10 minutes? Well I am getting more and more better at it, one day I took a shower and did my makeup, ok maybe it was a little longer than ten minutes but he was great the whole time. Oh also he now is trying to make noises and it is so cute. I Love talking to him and seen him trying to talk back.
9/11
So today was a great day. Matt Brich is home from his mission and so his family had a home coming party and I have known matt since he was little, he is like a little brother. Any way so I went to the party and got to hang out with some old friends. It is nice having something to do, being a new mom and everything you do not really get out much and when you do it takes a lot to get out. Matt is the same old matt just a little more missionaryie lol. He has been home a week and he has already been on a date and has one tonight I just really thought it was really funny because he is still the same when it came to girls and dating but I really cannot talk, Mike came back to Spokane like a week after he got home off his mission. So I guess whatever works for you. :) So after that party I had another one at the Timothy's. Some of Cody's and mine old friends from high school got together. It was great. It was really weird I had like two different groups in high school. When I was a freshmen I was hanging out with all of my brothers friends. So to get together with them it was really fun because now I am not the really little girl hanging out with the big kids. It also helps that most of the boys there married girls my age. I think it is because they know most of the girls when they are younger and then they come home and see how much they have changed and they just cannot help them self lol.
Any way I want to thank every one who has served. I am so great for what you do and all that you have had to get up for us. So thank you so Much.

Emmits Blessing
So Our little family of three had a great weekend……
Friday I and Emmit went down to a hotel my mom had rented for the weekend and we just chilled. I also got to be silly with
Saturday we all went to the airport to pick up Linda (Mikes Mom). It was so nice to see her. I love picking p
Blessing day……..
Sunday What a great day I cannot tell you how much I missed church. It was like for this whole month I have been in this block, weigh down and when I got to church just peace and love and also comfort. The lord telling
me that I am a good mom and that I can do this with only four or six hours of sleep. What a great feeling. Back to the blessing all the family was there that could be. It was a great blessing. I thought it was a little funny when I could hear this baby crying real loud and thinking to myself whose baby is crying so loud and then realizing it was my little boy. How great is that. Pore Mike said it was really hard to think with him crying. I loved the blessing and think he did great. After the blessing we all went out and took family picture. We all then went to my moms and hang out there. It was so great to watch Kennady and Conner. They are so cute and funny. Conner asked to have some chip so I gave him some on a plate and then Kennedy started eat them and I joke with her and said
“Hey those are not yours”
Kennady gave me this smile like I do not know if you are joking or not but I hope you are smile.
Conner said to me “hey what is the big idea she can have some, we can share.”
Me “lol ok I am sorry”
They are so cute I wish I could just go around with them and video what they say and do. That would be a great movie.
Monday time to say good bye…
The boys got up in the morning and played their game of golf. I always know when mike has a good game because he comes home all happy, huggie and smiley. I love it. After their game we all met down town to eat breakfast. This was crazy because they took forever to bring our food, then half of us
got our food and by the time the other half got their food they were all done. It was not good at all if I was paying I would have not tipped them. I guess they did bring the little kids cookie for free so I will give them that. The sad part was saying good bye to Corey, Laurie, and Conner. I had not seen them in a year and I just think that is sad and then to have to only see them for two and a half days. I am so glad they came and was so happy to see them. We love you!!!!!!!
Chill time…….
Monday night was also fun we went out to eat with Linda and then watched a great movie. It was really nice just to have some chill time with Linda it was also nice to have her here in our home. I really do hope she comes again. O one of the best things about this weekend was getting mike baby pictures and having Linda tell me some stories and to have Linda tell me some of the things mike did when he was a baby that Emmit does. It was really nice to hear that my son is like his daddy and not only me see it.
Last day sending Linda on to J and Megans…
We took Linda to the airport it was sad to see her go. We love her and I am so great full to have her as my mother in law.
THANKS EVERY ONE FOR THE GREAT WEEKEND LOVE YOU ALL AND MISS YOU.

Baby Emmit
EMMIT MICHAEL PRENTICE IS HERE!!!!!!Born August 3rd
6lb 12oz and 20in Tall
Now 7lb 6oz and 21in Tall
8 Days Old
The big Surprise
So we went to the hospital around like 4:30am I was so happy and excited Emmit was coming early. I went through all the steps and got all med's I needed. All was going great. The only thing that was a little off was when the D
octor came in to break the rest of the water and to make sure that Emmit was head down and where he needed to be. Well as he was breaking the rest of the water there was a little bubble that would not break the Doctor said that some times the bag can fold over on itself and that could cause it to make a bubble. So he tried and tried to get that like bubble but it would not break so he said he would make sure to check it a little latter and that it was ok for it to
be there. Then at 5.5 cm I felt like I need to push so much that I could not stop it and the RN would not check me again because she just had checked me. So when she went on a break another RN came in and I told her what was going on and she said she would check me and she did and I went from a 5.5cm to a 8cm in a half an hour then she also felt that little bubble but she must have felt something more because she like ran out of the room and got the other RN and then she checked me again and had this weird look on her face an
d then told the other RN to go get this drug that would stop my contraction then page the Doctor, after all that, then she told me that the baby was feet down and the little bag they had tried to break was his testicals. Before I knew it, there were a lot of doctors in my room and then they took me in to give me a C section. the whole time I was wanting my husband by my side and he could not be because they had to get thing started. Even now I can't really think about it without all the feelings coming back the feeling of my wanting my husband and hoping and praying that my little baby will be ok. After they let Mike in the room I could not helped myself from hol
ding back the tears any more. Then the one thing that made my scared and worry tears turn into happy tears was to hear my little Emmit cry. They showed me him for a little time. Mike told me how big he was and that he had a little bruising down there but that every thing was ok and then Emmit and Mike went to clean up. The doctors finished up with me and then final the joy of see my little boy for the first time was so great. Unless you are a mother you really do not know what love and joy you have instantly for someone who you just have met. Emmit is perfect and in great health and I love him so much and am gald he is in our life.

Things-Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Things that have been going let start with this last Friday. It started out great cleaned up the apartment. Then did my lesson for YW’s which made me cry it was on the sacrament which is a little funny because when we moved into the last ward I gave a talk on the sacrament so I guess the lord wanted me to learn more and I did a lot more this time about being active in the sacrament instead of just taking it. It was a good lesson I loved steadying it. So I had gotten a big sprit high that morning and was just so happy. Then I clean out my car there was just too much stuff in it. Around one I was really excited because one of my old time best friend, Meribeth Gabell came into town this weekend. I was excited because I was going to have some fun girl time with someone besides my mom. So Meribeth, her two sisters and I went and got our toe nails done and then got dinner. It was great fun and nice to see her. As I was going home from Coeur d’ Alene I knew I was going to be in a little trouble because I had spent a lot of money and forgot to talk to mike about it all. So I was driving home and I pass a cop and I was happy because this was one time I was not speeding and I was being a good girl. Well the cop did not think I was being a good girl because he pulled me over and ask if I was in a hurry and I said no, I am just headed home. Cop said “where do you live?” I said “Spokane Valley” then he said “I pulled you over because you were riding to close to the car in front of you.” Then he asked for everything they ask for. Well our insurants had just got bought by a new company so I had not seen the new card yet to put in the car so the one I had was expired. So he takes it all back to his car and takes forever. You know when they take forever they are giving you a ticket so I started to cry because I know I had spent a lot of money that day and then I got a ticket well and I am pregnant. So he comes back and tell me I am getting a ticket for the insurants and not riding to close then says have a nice weekend. I thought do you really mean that, you just gave me a ticket my weekend is going to be anything but nice now thanks a lot. So I am driving home still crying which was really bad because it is hard to see when you are crying. I got home and told mike what happen and he was great. Trying to help and tell me that I am fine. So that way Friday.
Nothing really happen on Saturday besides being reminded by mom at 10:45pm for like the 20th that I had to bring a side for tomorrow’s dinner. I do not know what it is but my mind just well not remember anything. So I went to the store at 11:00 and some guy in front of me with really warn out clothes and hair that looks like it has not been washed for days oh and his skin had little red bumps all over. Anyway he starts talking to me in the checkout line. He asked if I was pregnant. I said yes then he asked what I was having I said a boy and then he said oh a little jelly bean in you. I did not mean to but I think I gave him weird look when he said that. Then he goes on saying that he loves kids and that the kids he baby sit call him uncle hippy. Then he says that he just had gotten the chicken poxes from one of the kids he baby sits and how bad it has been. Then when he was walking out of the store he put cans of beer or energy drinks in his pants not the pockets but in the pants. I think by the time the guy ended talking to me I had given him some very wired looks. I mean I did not mean to but it is just one of those things one you hear something then you face just reacts. So as I got ready to take all my stuff out to the car I called my mom just to talk to make sure that no one would start talking to me or come up to me. Not going to Albertsons Late at night ever again.
Then Sunday I was so excited because I loved the lesson so much but so just wanted to be done with it. I think the girls like it. I do not know. I got done 5 minutes early and I repeated some things a lot. So I hope it went ok but I did not feel like I got through to anyone. The thing is I really did not think it was for the girls but more so for me I got so much out of that lesson and got to share it with mike and I think that is what the lord wanted.
After church we all as a family went down to the park it was nice to hang out. Kennady was doing some pretty funny things. I wish I had taken pic’s but I did not have my camera with me but Melissa did so maybe you will see some on her blog.

Callings
Mike and I now have callings. Mike is a Sunday school teacher for the 16 or 17 and up. They are a good group of kids. I am sure he is going to just love them. He is such a good teacher. I always love to hear him talk about the gospel. So I know for sure he is going to be great at this calling. I was called to the YW which is what I wanted. I am excited and it is also a little scary at the same time. I have not had a really big calling like this before I hope I can make a difference in their lives. I am over the little beehives. There is only like 4 of them but I am so excited to teach and love them.
Besides our callings, I am just working on finding baby stuff for our little boy. I just wish he was here. My mom always says that the time will come when I wished that I could have enjoyed this time but I just want so bad to hold him and have mike hold him. My friend just had her baby boy like a month ago and we went to hang with them and man I saw Ashton (there little boy) and it made me want my little boy here so badly. I think I can get through two months.

Snakes
So me and my mom where walking today on the centennial trail right by the Trent bridge under the rail road bridge next to it. My mom was right next to the cement wall close to the shade. so as we were walking under the rail road bridge next to that wall I heard a hissing noise and a rattling noise and turned and saw a snake. so I said mom there is a snake and she pull me away as fast we could go. so we called 911 but I am my mom's kid and so of course I called 991 loll. anyway they said they would send someone to remove it. well so a man came by and we told him to stay on the left side that there was a rattle snake. so of course he had to look at it and he said it was just a bull snake. so when I came home I looked up bull snake and this is what it said
"The gopher snake (Pituophis catenfe, Fig. 2), also known as the bull snake, is found in warm, dry habitat—deserts, grasslands, and open woodlands. It’s a robust snake, measuring 3 to 4 feet in length, with dark blotches against tan along its back."
"The gopher snake is often mistaken for a rattlesnake, owing to its coloration and its impressive display of coiling, striking, and loud hissing. It will also vibrate the tip of its tail in dry grass and leaves, further mimicking a rattlesnake. However, it is not poisonous. It is a constrictor, killing prey—mostly small rodents—by squeezing them until the prey suffocates."(WDFW)

So we are not really dumb to think it was a rattle snake because it makes it safe sound like one. I also think that is really cool that a snake can do that. Any way I just want to tell you about your cool experience. Here is a picture of a bull snake.
