Work/Headache

Avis
I got a job!!!! It is great, I am working with Melissa (my sister in law) well not really working with her now but she trained me. It is nice because me and Melissa are going to share days and some days she is going to watch Emmit and I will watch Kennady. So far it is a little crazy the first day I was by myself I called Melissa 12 times, really I looked it up on my phone after work and it was 12 times. It is ok because this last time I only called 4 times. I tell people it is the computer lol and so far no one has gone crazy on me. I hope for me and Melissa that I get it down.
This computer looks a little like the one at Avis but with no mouse and no middle part.

Headache
So yesterday, I had a killer headache. It was so bad that I had numbing in my right arm and was talking funny and could not remember some things. It scared me really bad good thing I had mike there and he was great through the whole thing, told me what I should do. The next day he said "Clacie you scared me." I LOVE HIM!!! I am fine now and mike thinks it was because I was dehydrated. I am good now and we are watching things so that nothing happens.

7 months

Emmit is 7 months old it is so crazy how time goes by. Emmit is a very good baby boy
Things he loves
1. People/people watching, He loves being around people and watching them. When he goes to the day care at the YMCA they say he just sits and watches the little kids around him play. If anyone wants to hold him that is ok with him. It is a little sad happy for me because I always want him to want me but at the same time mommy needs a break sometimes.
2. Playing peek a boo, It is so funny every time you play it with him and you come out from hiding he gets scared and then he laughs.
3. Sweet potatoes, he eats now but not only really sweet potatoes.
4. Mommy and Daddy more like mommy for feeding daddy for play time. Very time Emmit sees mike he smile and kicks his legs really fast.
5. Love loves music mostly church music you turn it on in the car and he will fall asleep.
Things he can do
1. D’s Emmit says DA DA DA DA DA DA all the time.
2. Sits on his own
3. Eat baby food
4. Roll roll and roll, I do not think he knows how to get around with the rolling yet but if you put him on his back and nothing is around him he will roll back and forth.
5. Sometimes he holds his bottle when laid down on his back.
Lots lots more…..
Things he hates
1. Sitting for a long long time.
2. Naps, he fights sleeping, it is so cute.

He is growing up so fast. I can’t believe it. I know I say this all the time but it is true. One day he is my new born baby boy and the next week he can sit and is eating baby food and sitting in a face forward car seat.

Christmas and The New Year

Christmas It was Emmit First and it was great. He Fall a sleep after the first two gifts But here are some pictures for you to see.

Our little family and the christmas tree.

The Mom Dad Cindy and us and Emmits first gift.

New Year 2011
I am so happy it is a new year, I love thinking about the new things I am going to do and how much Emmit will grow. I only have four goals….
1. Go to the temple more
2. Read scriptures to Emmit everyday
4. Be better at Visiting Teaching
3. Get healthier
I thought it would be best to write them in my blog so it helps to remind. Any way Emmit is almost 6 months. I cannot believe it my new little baby is not so new. He is such a good little boy. He loves to go to the day care at the YMCA. He just sits and watches the little kids run around. I hate leaving him there for two hours when I am doing something for myself. I think as long as he seems to like it I will be ok. He sits now and eats rice cereal oh and the best thing for both of us is he sleeps longer. He sleeps from nine to five and then five to nine. I love it
.
Mike is doing well, he has started school and he is doing well so far. Classes are later so he gets a little more sleep then last semester. This is good for all of us. Lol I am so glad I have him for a husband. Things here are going great we are just one little happy family.

Thing that we have done……..This last week we went to bull riding. I really do not think any one that knows me would think that i would go to bull riding but I been reading this book call The happiness Advantage and there was one thing so far that has hit me. He was talking about money and how the people who spend their money on actives like a vacation or going to a painting class together are happier, then the people who spend their money on a big TV or a nice new car. The one reason why I think this is true is because you are making memories when doing actives. So this is why when Mel brought up bull riding, I thought why not let’s try it out and it was fun and also funny to see the kinds of people you see there. It was also cool to see how long they could stay on and if anyone would get hurt and there were even little kids that had little bulls. It was really fun we went with Cody and Mel. So I am sure that she will post something on it also. AS Cody puts it “we go do these things so you girls can blog about it” So true Lol. We are also going to Brian Regan at the end of the month. It was mike’s Big Christmas gift. We are going with Cody and Mel so that should be fun.

Love and Family

So I have so much more respect for my mom going through this last week with a baby with a cold and me with one. My mom did everything for use. I really did not have to left a finger and when I did it was to clean my room and she never man use do it she just would say you can have someone over if you clean your room. I always remember coming home from school to a home that would all be clean and she would be cooking dinner and it was always a warm loving place to be. I just do not see how she did it at all when she was sick. I mean I still did some stuff but let me tell you it took me ten times longer. I remember she use to always tell me that she would get up and moving when she was sick because it kept her mind off being sick and not feeling good. Most people aka I would curl up on the couch with some chicken noodle and watch TV. Who would have thought cleaning could cure a cold or a flu. Any ways Mom I love you so much and am very grateful you kept going.

Besides having a cold things here are amazing. I am almost done Christmas shopping. I am done with Mike, I just have one thing for Emmit I need to get. I am so happy we have a tree this year, it makes it feel more like Christmas also we are starting to do family things that down the road will end up being traditions and I love traditions. It is still kind of odd for me to say my family. Most of the time when someone asks me how many are in my family I still say I have three brothers and a little sister and then one day a lady in my ward said and now your family it took me a little time to realize what she was asking. The more and more I tell people I love it. I have a little great family.

Talk, Emmit, Mike

I gave a talk three weeks ago on judging other really all I can say is I judge people all the time. I do not mean to at all but after this talk it is like one of the worst thing I found I do. It is so wired that I did not even think about it before. I am really bad at it when I am driving. If I am behind someone slow I think to myself they must be really old and if you cannot drive the speed limit get off the road. I think I even do it more now that I have a kid. It is like kicking the bad habit of saying a bad word it just comes out before you even know it then you have to work on noticing it and then trying to stop you self from saying it. What is the hardest is not thinking it. Our neighbor below us has a husband who is paralyzed from like the chest down. Any way she also has a little boy she takes care of. She is every nice loves to talk. When we first met I just wanted to avoid her like the pelage. Also I was sure they were doing drugs which made me think that they were horrible people. Well this last week she came up to get some salt and she ended up telling us what happen to her husband and how she got through it. Her husband was diagnosed with some disease that affects your body and makes you slowly become paralyzed and you die from it. As he was diagnosed with this disease she found out she was going to have her first kid. She ending up tells us that because she believes in the lord that she knows she can get through this and that she will see her husband again. I feel so bad this leady had some much going on in her life and I was trying to avoid her just beside she wanted to talk a lot and she look messy. I now look at her through the lords eyes that she has the biggest heart I know. I also know that if I need something she would help me out no matter what. We need not do unrighteous judging.

Story I found that I said in my talk I thought it was funny and I would be so horrified if I did this.
One night there was a woman at the airport who had to wait for several hours before catching her next flight. While she waited she bought a book and a pack of biscuits to spend the time. She looked for a place to sit and waited.
She was deep into her book, when suddenly she realized that there was a young man sitting next to her who was stretching his hand, with no concern whatsoever, and grabbing the pack of cookies lying between them. He started to eat them one by one.
Not wanting to make a fuss about it she decided to ignore him. The woman, slightly bothered, ate the cookies and watched the clock, while the young and shameless thief of biscuits was also finishing them. The woman started to get really angry at this point and thought ‘If I wasn’t such a good and educated person, I would have given this daring man a black eye by now.’
Every time she ate a biscuit, he had one too. The dialogue between their eyes continued and when only one biscuit was left, she wondered what he was going to do. Softly and with a nervous smile, the young man grabbed the last biscuit and broke it in two. He offered one half to the woman while he ate the other half.
Briskly she took the biscuit and thought, ‘What an insolent man! How uneducated! He didn’t even thank me!’ She had never met anybody so fresh and sighed relieved to hear her flight announced. She grabbed her bags and went towards the boarding gate refusing to look back to where that insolent thief was seated.
After boarding the plane and nicely seated, she looked for her book which was nearly finished by now. While looking into her bag she was totally surprised to find her pack of biscuits nearly intact. ‘If my biscuits are here’, she thought feeling terribly, ‘those others were his and he tried to share them with me.’ Too late to apologize to the young man, she realized with pain, that it was her who had been insolent, uneducated and a thief, and not him

EMMIT
My little Emmit his is getting so big. I love the things he can do now.
1. Talking back to me I could sit and just talk to him all day
2. Watching things when I walk by him will watch me
3. Him sleeping in his crib next step going pee in the big toilet lol jk
4.Emmit just being a great little boy this last Sunday he just sat on my lap and looked around for the last two hours of church. The first hour he was asleep. I feel so blessed.
5. I also love that when I read scriptures to him he just start talking and talking and when I stop because I can to hear what I am reading he stops. Lol
I love him so much.

MIKE
How proud I am of my husband. Mike is a very busy man. His day wake up at 730am go to school out at EWU, go to school at SCC , come home do as much home work as he can and also take a nap and spend time with me and Emmit. Then go to work at 630 and gets off at 3am and starts all over again for six days straight then he get two or three days off. How great is he. That is why I am so proud of him.
I love the days when he comes home and picks up Emmit and says I missed you little man and takes time to just hang with his little boy. I could have not asked for a better husband and father.
